When God closes a door, he opens a window!

Most of the times in our lives we never realize the reason behind going through the tough phases. But when you look back you realize that these are the times that define you as an individual.

We can either sulk about things that have happened and not move on or just take this as a new opportunity. It surely is easier said than done but believe you can actually move on. And, if you do decide to move on, forgive whoever has hurt you or whatever has happened. We may not be able to forget things but we can surely understand life much better.

Once you move on please make sure you are not bitter. If you remain bitter after a going through a rough patch in your life then you are missing out a lot in your life. Because you will carry that bitterness to all the aspects of your life. And once you do that you will feel negative about everything around you. I don't have to say anything much after this cause you know the outcome of being negative :-)

We all have one life and need to live it to the fullest! So, start living from this moment on and enjoy everything in your life.

Thanks for reading!

He has got an awesome smile

Vikram

Surya has an amazing smile and that made me watch a lot of his movies and lost track after Sillunu Oru Kadhal. But I really want to watch Varanam Ayiram and his upcoming movie "Ayan".

I wouldn't mind learning tamil to watch his movies and I have picked up a few words :-) It would be an interesting way to learn a new language and I would love to learn as many languages as possible. It makes life really interesting when you travel and know the local language.

Another person who has an amazing smile is Vikram again from the tamil movies. He is so talented and the first movie of his I watched was "Pitamagan". Surya too was in the movie and did complete justice to his role in the movie.

Movies are an integral part of my life and I don't want to miss movies due to language barriers. So, I would love to learn as many languages as possible so that I could watch all the wonderful movies made in India. We have so many languages here in India that probably looking beyond would take a really long time :-)

Earth Hour

I am really happy with myself cause I made a poster for the earth hour and put it up in my apartment complex building. We have just one lift that takes people up and down. Apt place for me to but the poster :-)

I want to see if that poster remains till morning and I already know that I got people curious about the poster. I realized that I should have made it simpler as some people didn't get the message. I guess it proved to be thought provoking and would be discussed around our apartment. Mission accomplished I'm guessing :-)

Planning to take a picture of the poster soon and upload the same. I should have done that before putting it up :-)

Poison Tree - Don't plant it in your garden

I was angry with my friend:
I told my wrath, my wrath did end.
I was angry with my foe;
I told it not, my wrath did grow.
And I water'd it in fears,
Night & morning with my tears;
And I sunned it with my smiles
And with soft deceitful wiles.
And it grew both day and night,
Till it bore an apple bright;
And my foe beheld it shine,
And he knew that it was mine,
And into my garden stole
When the night had veil'd the pole:
In the morning glad I see
My foe outstretch'd beneath the tree
-William Blake

I just love the weather here!!!

I had a short nap this afternoon and woke up to lovely weather this evening. Sipping on a nice cup of hot chai I spent sometime in the balcony of my apartment. Wow, the weather was so amazing that it made me forget everything else and surrender to the nature. It was beautiful seeing the parrots returning home as they do every evening but today it was all the more special. I didn't see the pigeons which usually surround our apartment building. Probably, they found their own way of enjoying the weather.

It was such an awesome weather to go for a long walk but the lazy me didn't feel like moving out of my home so spent quality time in the balcony :-) Guess, it will be really beautiful morning tomorrow, thanks to the showers this afternoon. I just love the weather today and enjoyed it to the fullest :-)

Isn't Bangalore weather the best! I'm sure the people living here would agree with me :-)

Enemy??

As human beings we all want to be happy and free from misery… we have learned that the key to happiness is inner peace. The greatest obstacles to inner peace are disturbing emotions such as anger, attachment, fear and suspicion, while love and compassion and a sense of universal responsibility are the sources of peace and happiness.

- Dalai Lama

Anger is our worst enemy and it can destroy our lives. To find happiness one should find inner peace and it is possible only through continuous appraisal of oneself. Anger to me is an tree sown from the seed known as "fear". We all fear about things like relationships, job, money, living up to our responsibilities etc. Amidst all this we forget about others around us and our earth for instance. We are not the only living beings on this planet but it belongs to so many more beautiful creatures.

Compassion and love for everything around us would really help in making this world a more beautiful place. It is important to have faith in oneself and spread as much love as possible in times of sorrow or sadness. It starts with one person i.e. me or I or myself; and then continues to spread across our planet. So, stop thinking about harming anyone with our anger either through words or action. Remember, what goes around comes around and no one can defend themselves from this law of nature.

Remember the world is a reflection of oneself and you wouldn't want to see a bad image. Take care and get over our fear which will put an end to all other negative emotions. Lead a life of eternal joy and peace!

Daffodils - William Wordsworth

I wandered lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;
Beside the lake, beneath the trees,
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.

Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the milky way,
They stretched in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:
Ten thousand saw I at a glance,
Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.

The waves beside them danced,
but they Out-did the sparkling leaves in glee;
A poet could not be but gay,
In such a jocund company!
I gazed—and gazed—but little thought
What wealth the show to me had brought:

For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.

Delhi 6 - whts with the reviews???

I finally got to watch this movie and it was so interesting as well as refreshing. So, bored of seeing the stereotypical movies being made everywhere. This is an awesome movie with wonderful direction and also great music. For all those who feel that Rahman's work in Slumdog Millionaire was brilliant should listen to the music of Delhi 6.

The casting is just amazing and every character plays a vital role in the movie. Abhishek's work was termed as effortless in the reviews but I really loved the way he has played his character "Roshan". And Sonam Kapoor is also very talented though she doesn't have many scenes compared to Abhishek. It was wonderful seeing Waheeda Rehman, Rishi Kapoor, Om Puri, Supriya Pathak etc light up the screen. Casting directors have done a brilliant job and justice to every character in the movie.

I never go by the reviews in the papers cause there were mixed opinions about "Rang De Basanti" as well. After watching Rang De Basanti I knew that I had to watch this movie. It was so beautifully made.

I am sooooo thrilled that I finally got to watch this movie and enjoyed it so much that I am running short of words. If you haven't watched the movie then I guess you should :-) If you like my blogs I'm sure you'll like the movie as well. Take care!

One of my favorites :-)

i carry your heart with me by E. E. Cummings

i carry your heart with me(i carry it in my heart)i am never without it (anywhere i go you go,my dear; and whatever is done by only me is your doing,my darling) i fear

no fate(for you are my fate,my sweet) i wantno world (for beautiful you are my world,my true)and it's you are whatever a moon has always meant and whatever a sun will always sing is you

here is the deepest secret nobody knows (here is the root of the root and the bud of the bud and the sky of the sky of a tree called life;which grows higher than the soul can hope or mind can hide)and this is the wonder that's keeping the stars apart
i carry your heart(i carry it in my heart)
